Hello friends! As some of you may know, my family is looking to move soon. We have been here for about 6 years in my grandmother’s house and due to many reasons, it is time to move on. I have been replacing a lot of the things we had before we moved in here lately. It will be a fresh new start for us!
I was at Target in Jackson, Tennessee this week and of course had to check out the Dollar Spot. Is it even still called that? They have some of the cutest spring things! I can’t wait to put out what I found. I thought I would share some of my finds today.
I am so on board with the succulent trend right now! They are adorable and tiny and green and I want them ALL. I will also most likely kill them so these faux ones for $3 each were perfect! And- the little “concrete” pots are fairly heavy so I shouldn’t have to worry about them toppling over.
I fell for the Magnolia Craft scam on Facebook with the free letter board and was so sad about it. Luckily, I only paid $2.97 for the “shipping” but still I’m out $3. I looked for one at Hobby Lobby and they are close to $30 there. So I settled for a super cute coral metal pegboard instead. It was only $5 and included white letters, numbers, and symbols as well as 6 hooks. You’ll only see it in the background because I forgot to take a picture of it. Oops. Also, the lighting in this 100-year-old house is awful so the pretty coral looks like a much less appealing color. Sigh.
I got these two little bud vases for only a dollar each and I can’t wait to stick wildflowers in them this spring! My hubby and kids are always finding me little flowers and they end up in a drinking glass on the table. Now I’ll be ready with a spot for them! The one on the right is a pretty smoky gray-blue that I love.
I also couldn’t resist this little quote for the wall. I feel like it is absolutely appropriate for us right now and I’m borderline obsessed with all things gray at the moment. At only $3, it didn’t even hurt my budget either!
The last things I picked up were these two wooden words. More gray and white for my living room. These too were only $3 each. I love that there was so much to choose from that wouldn’t break the bank. I like to decorate with things that I don’t worry about. If I spend too much on an item, I almost feel like I can’t enjoy it for fear of breaking it. I know it’s irrational but just a weird quirk of mine.
So all together I only spent $25 (plus taxes) and got 9 items for my new house! I am so excited to put it all together and show you all! What colors are your go-to for the living room? I feel like classic white, gray and black are timeless and easy to accessorize with almost any pop color to jazz it up.
I hope you’re all having a wonderful Sunday with your loved ones! I’ll have a new post Tuesday for you all!
